App Access
Google reviewers must be able to access and test the app’s core functionality. If the app uses authentication, gated content, memberships, or enterprise-only flows, app access details must be supplied in Google Play Console.
When this is required
- Login-based apps
- Apps with gated or restricted content
- Enterprise or internal workflows
- Apps using authentication, accounts, or memberships
What reviewers may need
- Test username or demo account details
- OTP or verification instructions
- Steps to reach restricted features
- VPN, region, or network requirements if applicable
- Subscription or plan access instructions if specific features require it
Play Console path
Enter this information in Policy and programs → App content → App access.
Important note
If reviewers cannot access the app, updates may be rejected with messages similar to “We could not access your app.” This page supports the review process, but the actual access details must still be entered directly in Google Play Console.
